What is your artist origin story? How did you first come to love creating art?

My household has always had an artist in some shape or form, but my mother was the biggest influence I had. She encouraged me to experiment and to try a lot of new things, some successful, others not so. It was kind of a slow start where I used to hate my art, but slowly started to appreciate it. Even though I’m mostly self taught, I thank my mom for helping discover that part of myself.

What kind of message do you want to bring out to the world? How do you want to affect people? How do you want others to feel when engaging with your art?

How would I want people to feel? Curiousity. that my art might spark some creativity in others. My experiences with art taught me patience, and that practice makes perfect. Never hate your art nor put yourself down. Uplift yourself and you will improve, one step at a time.

What life quote do you live by?

Never give chin (family saying).

What’s your favourite medium to work with and why?

Honestly, I adapt to most mediums pretty quickly. But if I were to pick a favorite, it would be working with polymer clay or any clay really. My mom bought a pack when I was little to see if I would like it, been stuck with it ever since. It feels kinda good to have something solid to work with. I remember really wanting a pet from a game I liked, when it suddenly clicked, I could make one in real life! And I did!

What advice do you have for others who are just starting out in your journey?

Be patient. Be really patient. It takes time to get the results you want. but at the end of the day not only will you have a fantastic art piece, you will also have learnt more about yourself.

Other than art, what else do you like to do in your spare time?

I play and record video games, either for my YouTube channel or just for fun! I also like exploring my neighborhood and others while listening to music. I also love to walk in the woodsy area further from where I live as well, the sights and sounds are breath taking, don’t listen to music while you in there though, gotta be alert while you’re there. Some walks send me into a peaceful trance, so I’m kinda vibing while exploring.

Wild Card Question! What’s something I haven’t asked but you would love to share with others?

My love of dragons and cats maybe? Or my borderline obsession with 3D cel shaded cartoons/games as well as gemstone and jewelry.

What’s one project you want everyone to take some time to check out? Why is it important to you?

I have been working on an original species, but I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep. It’s been a passion project for me for a while and it’s something I’ve been wanting to share with people! I’m posting updates about it on @chimaeraswrath and my Tumblr account!
